Children are offered various sports to improve their physical fitness and coordination. Our emphasis is on enjoyment and willing participation. All classes participate in daily fitness activities. In Kindergarten, Year 1 and Year 2, the emphasis is on developing the students’ sporting skills.
During Terms 2 & 4 students in Years 4, 5 and 6 participate in inter-school competitions in a range of sports through the Dubbo Primary Schools Sports Association.
Students in Years 5 & 6 can also be nominated in Diocesan Selection Teams in various Sports throughout the year. This provides a pathway to State and National Competitions. Sports include Tennis, Basketball, Softball, Swimming, Netball, Golf, Athletics, Cross Country, Hockey, Rugby Union, Rugby League, Soccer and Cricket. Students in Years 3-6 participate in the school swimming, athletics and cross-country carnivals. If selected in the school team, students can progress to the Western Region, Diocesan, Polding & State carnivals.
