Vision Statement:
St. Mary's Primary strives to be a welcoming Christ-centred learning community that promotes a quality holistic
education and trusting relationships in a caring and supportive environment.
Acknowledgment of Country: We acknowledge the traditional custodians of this land, the Wiradjuri people, who, long before us, lived, loved, educated and raised their children on this site. We pay our respects to elders past and present, and we recognise the young people who are our future. We acknowledge all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families in our community. We respect their deep physical and spiritual connections to the country through their stories, traditions and living cultures.
Character Virtue: K I N D N E S S
What it looks like: Kindness is like being friendly and helpful to others. It's like sharing a smile or helping someone who's in need.
What it means: Kindness is about spreading love and happiness. It's doing nice things for people without expecting anything in return..
Why it is important: Kindness makes the world a better place. It creates positive connections and brightens people's days.
From the Principal

Mr Luke Wilson
Principal
Dear Parents,
Welcome to Week 9.
A big thank you to:
* Mrs Alexander for the time and effort she put into organising a fun and engaging day of athletics and games for our Infants students.
* Mrs Sutcliffe and Mrs Weir for their dedicated work preparing for yesterday’s Athletics Carnival.
* Our parents and friends who generously volunteered and supported our children on the day.
Musica Viva - Lost Histories
Our students attended a concert today, presented by Musica Viva, Lost Histories.
‘Who am I? Where did I come from? How would I like to be remembered?’ These are some of the questions explored in the songs of Troy Russell, a Biripai and Gamillaroi musician and composer whose work reflects his rich personal connection to history and place. By experiencing these songs performed by Troy, violinist Susie Bishop, and vocalist Leila Hamilton, students were allowed to reflect on and engage with their own sense of history and place. Sparking their creativity and encouraging curious investigation, students will be inspired to take a journey of self-discovery.
Semester One Reports
Your child will receive a School Report at the end of this term on Thursday, 3rd July, outlining their progress throughout the first semester of the year. Student reports will be loaded onto your child’s Compass account.
Whole School Assembly
Our School Assembly will be held in the School Hall next Monday at 1.40 pm. At this assembly, we will announce and congratulate the students who have been awarded a Citizenship Award for Term 2. These students are recognised for their positive attitude, behaviour, and working to the best of their ability in the classroom, as well as for the qualities they exhibit as good citizens, such as inclusivity, respect, responsibility, support for peers, helpfulness, a positive attitude, compassion, loyalty, and integrity. All parents are welcome to attend.

Help Me Help My Teen - This 2-hour event, based on Maggie’s latest book, is a reassuring, practical guide for parents, carers, and educators to help teenagers navigate adolescence and grow into confident, capable adults.
Maggie will provide clear and compassionate ‘what to do’ advice for some of the most difficult, sensitive topics – such as technology use, sex, drugs and alcohol, dropped school grades, school refusal, mental health and identity – and shows us how we can provide a safe and supportive environment for all our teens.
NOTE: Sensitive topics are discussed. Teens 13+ can attend with their parent/s or carers at their discretion. All attendees require a ticket.
Canteen

CANTEEN ROSTER | |
Wednesday, 25th June | Leah Job and Jo Trimboli |
Thursday, 26th June | Emma Maas and Emily Simpson |
Friday, 27th June | Liesl Gamser and Aleks Sutton |
Monday, 30th June | Sheridan Wiatkowski |
Dear Parents,
Please see the updated Canteen Menu containing price increases for some items at our school canteen. The decision has not been made lightly, but it has become necessary due to rising food supply costs and general operating expenses.
We aim to provide your children with a range of healthy and fun meals and snacks while keeping prices as affordable as possible. We appreciate your understanding and ongoing support.
Regards,
Luke Wilson
MunchMonitor - We encourage all families to use the MunchMonitor online program for lunch orders.
We Are Allergy Aware
Anaphylaxis is a severe and potentially life-threatening allergic reaction. We want to do our best to keep those at risk, as safe as possible. We have several children at our school who have allergies to peanuts and tree-nuts.
It is important for the safety of these children that we ask that you don't send any nuts or nut products to school.
This includes foods such as peanut butter, Nutella, hazelnut spreads, trail mix or muesli bars/biscuits that contain nuts.
Please help us maintain the health and well-being of all our students by considering this information when packing lunches for your child.
We appreciate your support.
